Premiere Date and Promotional Materials
The official website for the second season of the My Hero Academia: Vigilantes (Vigilante -Boku no Hero Academia ILLEGALS-) television anime confirmed that the Aizawa School Days arc is scheduled to begin on February 9. Alongside the date announcement, the website released a new promotional video and visual for the upcoming arc.
Cast Additions and Returning Voices
Rikiya Koyama joins the cast to voice His Purple Highness. The arc, which serves as a flashback, features characters from the main series during their student years. Junichi Suwabe voices Shota Aizawa (Eraserhead), Hiroyuki Yoshino voices Hizashi Yamada (Present Mic), and Kenshō Ono voices Oboro Shirakumo (Loud Cloud).
Production Staff
Kenichi Suzuki directs the anime at BONES FILM, a company established by BONES. Yōsuke Kuroda, who worked on the main My Hero Academia anime, writes and oversees the scripts. Takahiko Yoshida handles character design. The musical score is composed by Yūki Hayashi, Shōgo Yamashiro, and Yūki Furuhashi. Other staff members include Yukihiro Watanabe (Art Director), Haruko Nobori (Color Designer), Yingying Zhang (Director of Photography), Mizuki Sasaki (3DCG Director), Kiyoshi Hirose (Editor), and Masafumi Mima (Sound Director).
Series Background and Broadcast History
The anime is adapted from the manga by Hideyuki Furuhashi and Betten Court, a spinoff prequel to Kōhei Horikoshi's My Hero Academia . The story focuses on Koichi Haimawari, who uses his Quirk to perform good deeds as a vigilante after failing to become an official hero. The manga began serialization in 2016 in Shonen Jump GIGA before moving to Shonen Jump+ . The first season of the anime adaptation premiered in April 2025 on Tokyo MX and BS NTV. Crunchyroll streamed the series and its English dub worldwide, excluding Asia.
