KOEI TECMO and Team NINJA Announce DEAD OR ALIVE 6 Last Round
Release Date and Platform Availability
KOEI TECMO America and Team NINJA have officially announced the upcoming release of DEAD OR ALIVE 6 Last Round, scheduled for launch on June 25, 2026. This definitive version of the 3D fighter will be available across multiple platforms, including PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Windows PC via Steam. The launch will include both a standard edition and a free-to-play version, ensuring accessibility for different types of players upon release.
Enhanced Roster and Content
DEAD OR ALIVE 6 Last Round builds upon the original title, which saw significant global success with over 900,000 copies shipped and 8 million downloads of its free-to-play iteration. This new version features the original roster of 24 characters supplemented by five DLC fighters: Nyotengu, Phase 4, Momiji, Rachel, and Tamaki. However, the DLC characters Mai Shiranui and Kula Diamond are not included in this package. Additionally, iconic characters such as Kasumi and Marie Rose will receive five new costumes inspired by other popular Team NINJA titles, including NINJA GAIDEN 3 Razor’s Edge and DEAD OR ALIVE Xtreme Venus Vacation.
New Features and Gameplay Modes
A notable addition to DEAD OR ALIVE 6 Last Round is an all-new Photo Mode feature. This tool enables players to capture dynamic shots of their favorite fighters with a comprehensive set of options, including “character position” and “pose selection.” The game has also been updated for current-generation hardware, and players will be able to carry over their DLC costumes, premium tickets, and save data from the standard edition of DEAD OR ALIVE 6.
Free-to-Play Version: Core Fighters
A free-to-play edition titled DEAD OR ALIVE 6 Last Round Core Fighters will launch simultaneously with the standard edition on June 25, 2026. This version will feature four playable characters at launch: Kasumi, Marie Rose, Honoka, and NiCO. Core Fighters players will have access to the Photo Mode and online modes like “DOA Quest” and “DOA Central.” All modes except for Story Mode will be available, with the story content being unlockable through a separate Story Unlock DLC purchase.

KOEI TECMO and Team NINJA have shared that more updates are planned post-launch for both versions of the game throughout the upcoming year, which will include additional costumes and new characters.
