Daemons of the Shadow Realm Anime Reveals April 4 Premiere, Theme Songs, and Cast

The official website for the television anime adaptation of Hiromu Arakawa's Daemons of the Shadow Realm ( Yomi no Tsugai ) manga has released a main promotional video. This update confirms the series will debut on April 4. The anime is scheduled to run for two consecutive cours, meaning it will air for two quarters of a year. Additionally, the cast is scheduled to appear at an advance screening event that includes a talk show segment on March 22 at Tokyo's Shinjuku Picadilly theater. This event will be live-streamed to theaters throughout Japan. Broadcast channels include HTB Hokkaido TV, Aomori Broadcasting, Miyagi TV, Sakuranbo TV, TV-U Fukushima, and Television Niigata Network Co., Ltd.
Theme Song Artists
The newly released video previews the musical themes for the series. Musical artist Vaundy provides the opening theme song titled "Tobu Toki" (Time to Fly) for the first half of the anime. The ending theme song, "Tobō yo" (Let's Fly), is performed by singer yama.

Masahiro Andō is directing the anime at bones film. The series scripts are being overseen by Noboru Takagi, with Nobuhiro Arai handling character design and serving as chief animation director. Kenichiro Suehiro is composing the music. The main voice cast features Kenshō Ono as Yuru, Yume Miyamoto as Asa, Yūichi Nakamura as Dera, and Misaki Kuno as Gabu-chan. Additional staff members include Koji Sugiura and Yoshiyuki Ito for Daemon Design, Yukari Goto as Color Key Artist, Tatsuro Onishi as Art Director, and Kazuhiro Wakabayashi as Sound Director.
Story Overview
Square Enix Manga & Books, which publishes the English version of the manga, describes the story as taking place in a remote mountain village guarded by two stone guardians. The protagonist, Yuru, lives off the land near his twin sister, Asa. While Yuru lives contentedly, Asa is locked in a cage to carry out a mysterious duty for the village. The narrative explores the secrets of Yuru's home and the reasons behind Asa's imprisonment.
