The manga has inspired five TV anime seasons. An anime film titled Bungo Stray Dogs: Dead Apple opened in Japan in March 2018, and Crunchyroll began streaming the film in September 2018. A spinoff manga, Bungo Stray Dogs Wan! , also inspired a television anime that premiered in January 2021. A second season for the spinoff is scheduled for 2026
